3 Simple Ways to Get Leads with Your Book

If your goal is to build a list of prospects who'd want to know more about what you have to offer, writing a book is an excellent way to gain leads. It will establish you as an authority and give you something to point readers to in your marketing messages.

Create a free funnel

Create a free funnel to get more leads by sharing the link on social media or adding links within your book.

You can create a lead capture page that allows people to sign up for your newsletter or other offers. This is an effective way to collect leads and re-engage with readers, as they're already familiar with your book.

The easiest way is to use a tool that offers done-for-you funnels. These tools allow you to create landing pages with forms that send people directly to your email list. You can also use them to build an email list yourself (without paying monthly fees).

If you don't want to spend money on a tool, there are plenty of other options for building a basic landing page.

Create a challenge

Create a free funnel to get more leads by sharing the link on social media or adding links within your book.

The idea is that you create a challenge using your book. People will receive a copy of your book when they attend the challenge.

This is a great way to generate leads and make money with your book.

A challenge is an event where people come together for a common purpose. An authority figure or group usually organizes it; in this case, YOU are the authority figure. The goal of the challenge is for people to achieve something that they can be proud of and share with others.

The challenge can be anything: fitness, weight loss, personal development, business growth, etc. The point is that it should be something you are passionate about and want others to join in on!

Here are some ideas for challenges:

1) Create a Facebook group where members take turns posting daily workouts to help each other stay motivated throughout the week.

2) Host a weekly webinar discussing some aspect of personal development or business growth (this could also be done over Skype or Zoom).

3) Create a Facebook page where members post their progress photos every week (or month).

Build a course

Building a course is another way to turn your book into a recurring revenue machine. Build a digital course using your book to get more leads. People will receive a copy of your book when they get the course.

If you're already an expert in a certain area, then consider turning your existing knowledge into an online course. The best way to get started is by creating an e-book about the topic and using it as leverage for your course launch.

Provide value with free material, such as PDFs or blog posts that people can download from your website.

To entice them into signing up for the full-length program, offer bonuses like bonus chapters from upcoming books, access to live webinars with industry leaders and other behind-the-scenes content (that only paid members will see).

Include an offer in the course that allows people to purchase additional copies at discounted prices or with free shipping (or both). This will help them save money while still supporting you as an author and getting access to additional information that could potentially be helpful for them down the road.

Just a little something extra!

Write an article or guest post on someone else’s blog using your book as an example or case study. This can be a great way to get exposure without having to invest too much time or money into it — and it also gives you an opportunity to talk about yourself as an expert in your field.

Create an infographic based on one of the ideas from your book, share it on social media and pin it on Pinterest for maximum reach. Infographics are visual content that gets shared widely across social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn — so if you do this right, it could go viral!
